Introduction

According to Ceska and Ceska (2010), this species is "introduced to Alberta, British Columbia and Washington from eastern North America. In BC it occurs in park ponds in Vancouver. Easily recognizable by whitish stems and leaves in pseudowhorls. Winter buds absent."
